Established on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1979, Bruce Foster Taxidermy Studio’s philosophy centers around the premise that my customers deserve and get the best I can offer. Pride in that service has been paramount for over three decades. My goals have and will always be simple…strive..for, and maintain a level of craftsmanship, realism and excellence that sets my work apart from others. Modern taxidermy and animal preparation has changed drastically from the time of the old school masters. Catalog suppliers of pre-sculpted forms have replaced the techniques of J. L. Clark, R. Rockwell, Louis Paul Jonas, W. T. Hornaday and Carl E. Akeley. Commercial taxidermy is often generic, and truly lacks the attitude and realism found in a custom mounted piece.
Bruce Foster Studio caters to the affluent sportsman who demands the highest quality taxidermy, only found in individual craftsmanship. I am not a production studio that slips a skin on a generic form as quickly as possible. Each piece is original and individually designed using the highest grade products and the best preservation methods available. The species best features, behavior and attitude are all blended and sculptured into an anatomically accurate finished taxidermy piece. An enormous amount of time and creative talent highlight the best features of your trophy. I tan nothing in house, and chose to use expert garment grade tanneries. My goal has always been to bring you the best in the
industry.
